Close Firewall Holes
The first step to secure a network is to put in place a firewall that is intended to keep all traffic out of the enterprise network. The second step is to begin to punch holes in those firewalls by opening ports to allow traditional remote VPN users to have access to services within your infrastructure. It is as if you build a wall to keep bad actors out. Then put a doorway in to let users in. Unfortunately, anyone could potentially access this doorway, this inbound open port, to your enterprise. Needless to say this seems to defeat the purpose of building a wall.

WhiteStar’s HyperSpace™ provides simple to use “Tags” to allow you to administrate access by users to various resources. When HyperSpace AI agents are initially deployed, “cohorts” or logical groupings of devices that are allowed to access each other, are known throughout the enterprise based on simple tags in the HyperSpace™ administrative portal. Only devices with the same tags are allowed to establish secure network connections, “conduits”, between devices when they need to communicate to each other. This requires no inbound ports to be opened in the firewall. With this and HyperSpace rotating encryption keys on a per packet basis make for a much more robust secure direct peer to peer/end to end connection.
